Things have changed, the audience has – but our dear friend Deepak Tijori has not. Deepak still things that with a good star cast, a lot of skin show and mindless comedy, he would get a good product. Sadly he does not and comes out with an utter rubbish film. Mindless, senseless comedy is OK as long as it entertains you, but Tom Dick Harry is a torture and not all enjoyable. Also the film is interspersed with double meaning jokes and nudity restricting it to adult viewing.
The plot:
The film is a about three physically impaired people Tom (Dino Morea) – deaf, Dick (Anuj Sawhney) – blind, and Harry (Jimmy Shergill) – dumb. They live together as paying guests, and their life takes an endearing turn when Celina (Celina Jaitley), comes to live in the bungalow opposite their house. They start making their moves to cast an impression on Celina, who is least interested in acknowledging their presence. Where as in Tom's life there's Bijli (Kim Sharma), a machchiwaali, who is completely besotted by Tom, and does not leave any stone unturned to express her desire. On the other hand there is Suprano (Gulshan Grover) – a Bad Man who is out to prove that he is the worst villain ever. Tom, Dick & Harry – unknowingly become the target of Suprano, by being the biggest barrier in his business deals.
Verdict:
On the whole you if you are a comedy freak you must skip this flick.
On performance side too the good looking men fail to impress us. If you have seen the original play All the Best by Paritosh Painter then you would know that the three characters are not necessary good looking dudes but damn good actors and that’s why the play is such a good hit and worth watching it. But in this film the only actor worth watching is Kim Sharma who rocks with her role and man she has hot body to watch for! Celina acts like a model and her flat tummy is always there making you feel that she is your fitness instructor. Of all three actors Anuj Shawney has done his job well.
Stupid jokes don’t excite you – the music does. Himesh Reshammiya has delivered some chart busting music for this film and he is the real hero of this film.
