Directed by:Rohit Shetty

After a very long times comes a film that will be loved by all. Senseless comedy which will keep you in you involved throughout. But more than the plot, it is the chemistry and the perfect timing of the foursome which makes this film a must to watch. Don't go look for logic; only expect to be entertained and you will be entertained.

The pace of the film is excellent and both the 1st half and 2nd half deliver great masala.

SYNOPSIS:

The story revolves around the lives of Gopal (Ajay Devgan), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Mahadev (Arshad Warsi) and Laxmi (Sharman Joshi) – 4 guys bound together by their child like notoriety, aimlessness and petty business of conning people for fun and money.

Gopal is the wisest & the wickedest of them all and the motto of his life is to eat, drink and be merry (Kal Kya Hoga Kisko Pata…)

Mahadev and lucky are also of the opinion that only idiots work and wise men use them in more ways than one to make their life comfortable.

Among these 4, there is Laxmi, who is a sincere & god-fearing guy & a bright student.

At one point, due to their notorious acts, the dean of their college throws them out of the hostel and they have nowhere to go. Gopal the wittiest and the biggest bully of them all, tells them about a bungalow which is inhabited by an old blind couple, whose son, daughter-in-law and grandson are in America.

Gopal plans to enter the bungalow pretending to be Prashant (the blind couple’s grandson) He also asks the rest of them to move in with him- the only condition however is that everyone, except for Gopal would always remain silent. This bizarre sequence leads to much confusion throughout the film creating lots of comedy.

Verdict:

There are some great funny one-liners like the one on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black by Ajay Devgan and Sharman is one of the wackiest moments. The valentine scene is brilliant and the song with the old couple adds a poignant touch.

There’s a hilarious scene in which one of them has to keep pulling a mattress with a sleeping cohort on it out of the way, as the blind lady sweeps the room! More gags like that, and the audience made up largely of taporis and college kids were bringing the house down.

Unfortunately, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Mukherjee get just one brightly spotlit moment—a flashback scene and song in the style of old black and white 30s’ films.

Sushmita Mukherjee is the great surprise in this film. She returns with great conviction and excellent makeup.

Ajay delivers a superb performance with a comic punch though he slightly old as compared to the other chaps. His flawless timing, hilarious facial expressions, fantastic body language and side-splitting delivery is all in full form here. One can easily say that he is one of the films major highlights!

Tusshar and Reitesh are perhaps best suited for roles like these where they act like fools. Tusshar has managed to act well in this film and convince us all.

Rimi is just about ok.

Both Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi have excellent timing and are winners in this film.

As a director there is no doubt that Rohit Shetty is a accomplished film maker who knows how to make an entertaining film that keeps the viewer completely entertained and when the viewer leaves the theatre he comes out saying paisa vasool!
