Rani and Vidya to star with Sanjay in Seven

We have already heard that Sanjay Dutt is to play the role of the elder brother in the remake of Satte Pe Satta, initially played to perfection by Amitabh Bachchan, and now news comes that Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan could star opposite him.

Rani Mukherji is being sought after for the part played by Hema Malini in the original while Vidya Balan will do a Ranjeeta. Instead of having seven brothers, this film will have four brothers and three sisters to make it slightly more interesting. Satte Pe Satta was itself inspired from the Hollywood classic Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.

Sanjay Dutt himself came up with the idea of a remake of Satte Pe Satta sometime last year. The original movie released around the same time when Sanjay made his debut in Bollywood and recalls watching it and getting inspired from it. The remake will be titled Seven.
