Jodhaa Akbar gets amazing UK opening

Bollywood romance Jodhaa Akbar has had a very good opening at the UK Box Office.

This Hrithik Roshan starrer was the third new entry of the week, appearing in tenth place with weekend takings of £365,785. On a screen-for-screen basis, though, it was the week’s most popular title - despite playing at just 46 sites.

The film has already become the biggest Bollywood opening of 2008 so far. For just the limited previews on Thursday, it managed am amazing £57,400. This is also the biggest ever opening for a Hrithik Roshan or Aishwarya starrer in the UK.
