Madhuri Dixit gets Padma shri award



It was always expected and this year at the announcement of the Padma Shri awardees’ name on the occasion of India’s republic day, a familiar name was among the Padma Shri recipients.

From her debut in Abodh to Tezaab to Dhak Dhak girl in Beta to Choli Ke peeche in Kalnayak to her award winning performances in Beta, Dil, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Dil to Pagal Hai and then Devdas, the diva got her first and biggest national regonition in the coveted Padma Shri award declaration.

Madhuri Dixit’s comeback film, Aaja Nachle may have bombed at the box office, but her fans conitune to swear by the beautiful actress who floored everyone for over two decadeds with her charm and brilliance on screen and of it too.
