Has Aamir Khan snatched the credit from Amol Gupte for TZP?

Most of you might be unaware of the fact that Amol Gupte, creative director and writer for Taare Zameen Par was the original director of the film, before Aamir Khan, the producer, took over from him.

Amol Gupte who had worked for nearly a decade with the disabled children’s foundation, Tulips, before writing the script of the film was to direct the film. Though he has been credited with the creative aspect of direction, Aamir Khan has been getting all the credit and attention of the media, industry and masses alike.

Amol Gupte, who conceived the project and was to direct the film, was limited to being a mere specatator as nobody remembered to aknowledge his crucial, rather the most vital role in the making of Taare Zameen Par.

As was expected, Amol Gupte, who has known Aamir for the past 20 years, back to their days at the theatre, is in a shabby relation with him. Amol Gupte who is reportedly upset over the whole issue, doesn;t share a good equation with Aamir Khan anymore.

Aamir Khan admitted to all this, saying that it was sad that he was not on very friendly terms with Amol Gupte anymore and that he wishes him luck for his future projects which he hopes should be better than TZP as well.

As if… Now, all of you reading this, must remember this guy, Amol Gupte, because he made TZP possible and he’s the one who masterminded the hit. And for his future projects they will certainly be better than any directed by Aamir Khan because now, Aamir Khan’s films will lack Amol Gupte’s touch in them.
