Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra certainly made us wait for a long, long time before he announced his next film after the super success of the inspirtational film, Rang De Basanti.

Dilli 6 is yet another Bollywood film based on a different novel from Chetan Bhagat. This time, it’s ‘Five Point Someone’, yet another bestseller by him which is being adapted on the big screen.

The film has been in news more for its casting issues than anything else. After Abhishek Bachchan to Hrithik to Akshay Kumar, now finally it is out that Abhishek Bachchan will play the male lead in the film. The film is also Sonam Kapoor’s next film after Saawariya.

The film is also referred to be a close take on the filmmaker’s growing up years in Chandni Chowk (Delhi pin code- 6) and was influenced by the novel which he says talks about his early life in the area.
