The fight was tough for this slot with competition among Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. Since, Ash was busy with her Hollywood projects after Guru, I decided to drop her out. There is a tie between the gorgeous Kapoor junior and the Big Brother winner and darling of UK, Shilpa Shetty.
After making across the globe with her fight against racism (or whatever you want to call that), Shilpa Shetty did shine in Life… In A Metro and Apne and earned a lot of fame for herself with TV stints. Anyways, moving on to the other damsel, she completely blew me off in her lone hit of the year, read that as superhit, Jab We Met. The Sikhni from Bhatinda soon became the darling of many hearts and even those who didn’t like her earlier (including me). The year was equally eventful for both the ladies. As for Shilpa Shetty, nothing’s hidden and for Kareena, the comments on her break up with Shahid and make up with Saif have been the talk of the town…city, state, country and the world..phew! Next!

Adding up the collections of their films is not the way to see who were the top actresses in a particular year.
Suppose an actress X does 10 flop films in a year and all of them just manage to collect to 10 crores each at the box office,
then she will have a total collection of 100 crores. Will that make her one of the top actresses ?Rani Mukerji doesn’t deserve to be in this list as she has given only flops in 2007. Aishwarya
and Kareena may have had only 1 release each but they were hits and their performances were widely
appreciated.
What royal shit, sooraj………evn though it hasnt exactly been “THE” year for rani….. it is not so easy to drop her out of the top 5 actresses(considering she has been no 1 for the past 3 consecutive years) just because of one not super successful year……… and seriously huh aishwarya, even if she would have given 5 hits this year cannot, i repeat CANNOT beat rani EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the money made by laaga(almost 40 crores) was only because of rani… guru was abhishek & mani ratnam’s film NOT aishwarya’s……….. about klareena yeah she was OUTSTANDING in jab we met but untill last year, she wasnt competition for rani now all of a sudden u make her no 1 or wat???????? but ya she shud have been above deepika(who barely had a raole in oso, by the way) the only thing is that its ok that vidya is above rani because she ia ACTUALLY good & for katrina Man wat can i say i think the title of “THE QUEEN OF OVERRATED ACTRESSES” has gone from Aishwarya to her. i mean she doesnt have a bloody god damn role in her movies(partner-salman,govinda,,,, namaste london-akshay,,, welcome- everyone except her!!) so she is probably the last person to be the no 1 acreaa atleast….. and for the person who made the list bravo man for not leavin rani out…god blees ya she deserves to be in the top 5 acresses..and it wouldnt hurt to see tabu instead of deepika/ KAtrina….
aishwariyah rai cannot even be compared to someone as good as rani mukherji. rani deserves to be in the top 5 bollywood actresses of 2007 and so does shilpa shetty , katrina kair and madhuri dixit.

RANI and her cousin KAJOL will always be the best actresses of their generation.Those two I believe know what they are doing.Kareena I believe is very talented but her brash outspoken nature is still her biggest claim to fame.I think she has this talent that I believe is locked in some where.I strongly think she should try art films to appear in diverse roles so as to stretch her talent.She is becoming too glamourous and should try to find a middle place if not I can’t seem to see what all the hype is about.Aishwarya Rai is not an actress at all,she has only 2 expressions it is only her beauty that is speaking for her and her so called calculated marraige. she lacks spontanouty she is just stiff,I think she thinks too much and her interviews are too rehearsed and come across as boring at times.To tell you the truth,can she tell jokes.She is bland.Katrina is just a pretty face no single talent she looks too delicate and calm in her films thus she is just plain dull and too western looking.
For Gods sake indian women are dusky skinned with very beautiful huge dark eyes and all I see these days in your movies are pale looking american wannabes.Your film makers have lost the plot.
