Banking on the ‘Himesh’ fever that had the whole nation swaying, composer-turned-singer-turned-actor made his acting debut (forgettable one) in T-Series’ Aap Ka Suroor. The film got a huge opening due to the Himesh craze and the curiosity of discovering yet another side of the musical guru. But can someone please ask him to stop acting!

Synopsis: The film revolves around the protagonist HR (Himesh Reshammiya) an Indian Rock star and his love interest (Hansikaa). The film is set in Germany where HR is an extremely popular musician / performer and how he gets framed into the murder of a journalist. The film also features Mallika Sherawat who is also one of the prime suspects in the murder besides a competing Music mogul who all have individual agendas and scores to settle with the Rock star. How HR manages to solve the mystery and reveal the truth forms the climax leading to an action packed high energy drama on the streets of Stuttgart.

The film was widely marketed by the popular brand T-Series fetching it an opening at over 400 screens across the domestic region. The film earned 18.95 crores for the 7 weeks’ showing. The thunderous opening due to the ‘Himesh Reshammiya’ factor soon faded down after the torturous, amateurish show by the singer-composer. And, the film was declared a hit as well. Now take that!
