I need to admit that while writing this review I was adamant on throwing this film out of the top slots but I decided otherwise for all you Sallu lovers. Partner, despite an average script and below average performances barring Govinda, was one of the biggest hits of the year. The film got a smashing opening at over 680 screens in the domestic circuit and went on for over 10 weeks and crossed the 60-crore mark earning Rs. 62.14 crores for itself. The film was one of the three blockbuster hits of the year.

Synopsis: Love Guru, Prem likes nothing better than helping lonely souls find their soul mates. But he is in a fix when he meets Bhaskar, a nerd, who has set his sights high – on no less than beautiful heiress Priya Jaisingh. The film didn’t have anything new to offer to the audience except a glossy look with a smart and desirable Salman Khan trying to woo an equally desirable Lara Dutta. Katrina Kaif was a mere show piece in the movie. The only performer worth a mention was Govinda who proved his critics wrong and outshined Salman Khan in the film. The film was an entertainer through and through and had one of the best soundtracks in it. And ..I didn’t like it…anyways, hail Govinda!
