‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ from Bhool Bhulaiya rakes up controversy

Ever since the promos of the ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ song from the film ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ went on air, all I expected was a controversy and who can keep the public from using their rights from churning out troubles for the filmdom.

bhool bhulaiya

A Mumbai-based advocate S. Kunjuraman filed a petition in the Mumbai Sessions Court for the insult of Hindu sentiments in the song. The song from the Akshay Kumar starrer has semi clad girls singing and dancing int he song which has lyrics similar to the Hindu chant of worship.

Leave your comments on the advocate’s files petition. Was he right? Is the song really insulting for the Hindu people?

Come on man, dont drag everything to court… Children below 14 watch blue films in this country….. Remember one thing guys, its human to run after the thing which you never want to give him, and keep things away from him he will always want to take them.

thats stupid.if he finds that hurting,he has an option not 2 see that song.but dont snatch away others right to see it.i m also a hindu n i dont think hinduism is so fragile that it will b distorted by mere songs that entertain people.

The only bollywood song I actually downloaded and felt is better than the rest. Now you drag in the long lost Hindu sentiments. Its funny how this country wants to be matured but also want to remain prehistoric. Grow up. I am a Hindu and it didnt hurt my sentiment. At least now I say the sacred chants quite often thanks to the song.

i think he is right in dragging the matter to court. it is an insult to our customs and traditions. becoming western is not a bad thing. but crossing the limits is definitely a wrong thing to do. does our culture say that we should chant hare rama hare krishna wearing half clothes. bolllywood needs to stop becoming hollywoood. we are hindustani. we need to remember our dharma. we need to remember what our geeta says.

yes as i thnk, he is right. no doubt that this song is so melodious in listening. but video is really not good. we have no rights to insult our traditions. many peoples dont think about this because they want only entertainment life. dosnt matter if somthng is hurting our culture our traditions. we should know the limit.

It’s a good song - however, is insulting because of the imagery used.
I think Hindu people have been insulted.

    Hare Krsna

The song in question is a very good song and we thank the producers in helping spread the holy Name of Hare Krsna to the world.

The Holy name of Krishna is not comtaminated by the material enviroment and material sound viberation.the holy name is pure trancendenatal sound vibration emanating directly from the spiritual world “kali kale nama rupa krsna avatar”, in the age of Kali the krsna decends as the holy name.

but the holy name is meant to increase our spiritual life. whatever we hear and read will effect our consciousness.the reason that the world is so much in turmoil is that 99% of what we hear and read is totally nonsense . the holy name is completly pure but our consciousness is not.
our consciousness is contaminated by our association with the material world. So we have to be careful what we out in our consciousness.

to give an example. Last year there was a song Kabhi alvida kehena. this was a good song and i liked it a lot but when i was put off when i saw the video. it viewd half naked white girls in bikinis. IS THAT WHAT BOOLYWOOD HAS BECOME. it really contaminated my consciousness. every time i heard the song i remembered the video.which was not good at all

if the holy name increase our remembrances of Sri Krsna, then that the proper use of the Holy name. but if that holy name is used to stimaulate our sexual lusty desire then that is not good. I think we should relook at the message that the producers are trying to convey.IS IT SPIRITUAL OR MATERIAL.

From a person that is a trying to practice Spiritual life in the hare krsna movement , the song does not help me in remembering Krsna and anything close to it.

One of the four regulation that we have in our movement is no illicit sex.this song clearly protrary that very thing. it bears no spiritual message.Actually the song goes everything against the world of Hare krsna.

    thank you
    Hare krsna

For you so called Indian’s lucky enough to be born in Bharath, who think this song + video has nothing wrong with it, well, you are fools! & clearly do not know your sanatan dharma well enough. Bloody fallen rascals is what you are, who will never defend thier religion out of ignorance! God help you all!
