Delightful album!!! This Kareena-Shahid starrer brings you one of the best soundtracks of the year with something for everyone. From the soft and soothing ‘Tum Se Hi’ to the sweet and delightful ‘Yeh Ishq’ to the funky tunes of ‘Mauja Mauja’ and ‘Nagada Nagada’. The remixes in the album are also worth it. In totality a real joy ride in every track. Pritam is back at his genius best with this album.
Here’s an insight to what is in store for you in this well-composed and entertaining soundtrack :

Mauja Hi Mauja
Rating:3/5
Another real foot-tapping, thumping number by Pritam. The Punjabi tone of the song is due to the ever-so enjoyable Mika and his thaat Gabru style. The song grows on you from the word go and has the qualities of becoming a big chartbuster. A lot of digital sounds have been used along with the western and Punjabi tone in the chorus. A real groovy track to get down on the dance floor.

Tum Se Hi
Rating: 3/5
A soft and hummable number and easily one of the best picks from the album. The beautiful tonal quality of the vocals by Mohan Chauhan of Silk Route fame add the innocence and charm of a romantic, melodious number. Its more like the serenity and passion of In Dino revisited in this track. The splendid vocal rendition by Mohan is supported by minimal use of instruments with flute being the focal instrument. A real slow and magical number I didn’t mind listening to for the fifth time while I am writing about it.

Yeh Ishq Hai
Rating: 3.5/5
The song is as enjoyable visually as it is when heard using your headphones. The track opens with the folk theme typical of North-eastern India and the Northern parts of the hilly terrain of India. The song has a fine mix of Indian instruments used along with the digital sounds. A beautifully written song which has been melodiously sung by who else but Shreya Ghoshal. the visuals have a fun-loving Kareena fooling around the hill station of Manali. the song with its Northern beats if perfect for the setting. A sweet, peppy and hummable number. Dance to it, sing along with it or just let it creep in with its magic. Bravo Pritam!!

Nagada Nagada
Rating: 2.5/5
A dance number again which is has elements of North-Indian beats of Bhangra and Dhol apt for the ‘Lohri’ festival. Song has been charged up by the powerful rendition by Sonu Nigam. This Punjabi folk song has the typical ‘Chherh Chharh’ and ‘Natkhat’ wooing of the females by the male. It will definitely be a hit with the masses with the whistles and hurras going on in the background. Pritam does surprise with this number which is completely different from what he has earlier dished out.

Aao Milo Chalo
Rating: 3/5
The song gives you the feel of a blooming love saga between two travelling strangers who slowly fell in love in their long journey. A soft number sung by Shaan. The song again has a a lot of Indian instruments used along with digital sounds. A nice song which lives up to the soft lovey dovey hit numbers which is Pritam’s fortey.

Aaoge Jab Tum
Rating: 3/5
The lone composition by Sandesh Shandiyal is a slow number with classical base in it. This will be a delight to the ears of all the classical music lovers and will enjoy the beautiful rendition by Ustad Rashid Khan. A lot of Indian instruments from flute to sarod has been used to add magic to this nice, hummable track. The track stands out not only because its not from the album’s composer but also because it brings a completely new soulful feel to the album. Irshad Kamil pens down a beauty here.

Tum Se Hi - Remix
Rating: 3/5
The remix has nothing much to offer with the original track as not much has been added to the original version. The remix is a little high on pace with added use of digital sounds though the vocal still remain the focal point.

Yeh Ishq Hai - Remix
Rating: 3/5
The remix version is more peppier and foot-tapping though the original is better because of its sweetness and soft sound.
