Movie Review: Darling (2007)
Moving on, things get rough as Fardeen’s world is shaken up by a sudden news that he’s unable to gulp down. (Now, I have stopped yawning!) The film takes an ‘unexpected’ turn again and there is heavy drama now. Aditya’s girlfriend tells him that she’s pregnant. Aditya tries to tell her that he’s not in a state to leave his wife for her as he had earlier committed to her. Devastated she gets enraged and gets into a fight with him resulting in her accidental death.
Aditya is tensed and seeing this as the only option to get rid of his past, he dumps Esha’s dead body. But the worst has just begun as Esha is back to avenge for the betrayal, in the form of a ghost…
Yes, the film did remind me of ‘Ghost’ and had the ‘Bhoot’ element in it too. But Ramuji gave a completely new meaning to horror in this flick. The second half did slow down a bit but had some of the best moments I have seen in a film. The eerie moments didn’t have the stereo-type build-up or background score but it did keep me glued to the scenes and at the edge of my seat. Now, that was ‘unexpected’ again!
A particular scene deserves a special mention where Isha tries to make love with her husband while Esha is watching on. Aditya is aware of her presence but Isha isn’t.

is this a review?complete story reveald
Thank u Faruq for ur comment. But i would like to bring your notice to one thing that the review completely keeps the story only in a jist and hardly leaks out any details. I have tried to make the readers understand the plot and mentioned only a couple of scenes for reference. Technical aspects have been highlighted. The story as well as the climax is very much a thing to be enjoyed at the theatre. Hope that makes some sense to you.
