Jodha Akbar’s Diwali release uncertain

Ashutosh Gowarikar seems to be eyeing for the Oscars again, may be the new category best suited to him would be for the film with maximum footage time than anything else. So, was the case with Lagaan and Swades. And now, his highly anticipated historical film, Jodha Akbar is far from being complete as its still under the production stages.

The historical love tale starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai was expected to have a Diwali release but that seems unlikely as the shooting is still underway in Karjat.

The film has been under a lot of scrutiny and gossip mills have been churning out stories about it day in and day out but Ashutosh Oscar Gowarikar won’t budge.

The man wants the perfect cut and the perfect take without much consideration to the perfect release date.
