Lara Dutta is the new Paro in another ‘Devdas’

So, we have got another Paro in the making in yet another film based on the popular novel ‘Devdas’. Yawn! But this time, the choice is absurd or rather experimental with the ex-Miss Universe all set to get into the shoes of Mrs. Bachchan who played the character in the highly acclaimed Bhansaliji’s version of the Oscar nominated.

Well, its not difficult to associate Lara Dutta with Paro but what is interesting is that Sudhir Mishra’s Devdas starring her is not like its predecessors. And that’s not a cliché as Mishraji has gone overboard and made a Devdas without the Zamindars and Thakurs in the backdrop.

This Devdas is unique as it has a political setting and only the characters have been picked up from the novel and is interpreted in a different way in a different situation altogether.

And something more for you to yawn on, Shiney Ahuja will play Devdas in it. Now did SRK just hurt himself? Hope not. And Soha Ali Khan will be signed up to play Chandramukhi.So, we will finally get a mujra from the chotti begum?Do we care!
