Has Shilpa found Prince Charming..?

The rumours have been making rounds in the media and in film-entertainment circles that Shilpa has tied the knot with an NRI businessman Raj Kundra. When contact her publicist and spokesperson to know the fact, Dale Bhagwagar denies the rumours saying, “Raj is the licensor of Shilpa’s recently launched perfume S2 and also a good friend of hers – nothing more, nothing less. There is no marriage on the cards”.

Further he adds, “Shilpa is not the kind who hides her relationship. When she gets engaged to anyone, she will announce it from rooftops. But as of now, she hasn’t found her prince charming. Whenever she is in the United Kingdom, Shilpa aggressively promotes India - our country’s heritage and culture. She is seen as an ambassador of sorts by Indians abroad. Such insinuations and controversies attacking her reputation only portray our country and our media in poor light to the outside world”.

Bhagwagar also comments, “So why do we keep hearing rumours about her so often? See, after ‘Big Brother’, Shilpa is leading a new life. For Brits, she is an icon to look up to. She has tremendous success, respect, stature, fame and stardom; everything going for her. The only thing lacking is a groom. And because the media interest in her all over the world is growing by the day, there is a lot of speculation stemming from it”.

The Leeds Metropolitan University, UK has recently awarded her the honorary doctorate degree. But just before she received the degree, Shetty launched the India Now initiative which celebrates multiculturalism and aims to strengthen ties between India and the United Kingdom. The actress even laid some groundwork for her Broadway musical due to be launched in London by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, her signature perfume S2 has reached the No.3 slot, competing with 500-odd perfumes all over UK.

The news is also flashing all over that due to Shilpa’s friendship with Kundra, his wife got separated from him. It does not look convincing because Shetty met Raj just 4 months back whereas his wife parted ways with him almost 10 months back.
