Episode 1 Synopsis, Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11 pm

Mr and Mrs Singh (Tauji and Taiji) goes to temple where they talk about their orphan niece Prarthana’s marriage… Prarthana’s Mehndi rasm is happening, there her Fiancée Akshay Thakral calls and informs her that her family is invited for dinner at his home tonight as he has some gift for her… Prarthana’s cousin Siddhi comes from London and they have a discussion about arranged vs love marriage and joint family vs nuclear family… the Singh family goes to Thakral’s house… a nice happy dinner… but after the dinner as Singh family has left; a big argument happens in Thakral family over the issue that these useless dinners and rasms are taking lot of their time… Amidst the arguments only, Prarthana comes back to Thakral house as she has forgotten the gift Akshay gave to her…

Episode 2 Synopsis, Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 11 pm

Prarthana and Siddhi miss the argument between Thakrals… Ladies sangeet at Prarthana house where she talks about her dream of a joint family and good in laws… Siddhi’s parents Shiv and Kajal also come down from London… A tension rises when Taiji realizes that Prarthana’s bridal dress ahs not yet arrived from Thakral house… An argument at Thakral house as no one has time to drop the bridal dress at Singh’s house… Bugged Akshay calls up her model sister Jiya who is busy at a phtot-shoot with her boyfriend Rajeev… Seeing Jiya busy Akshay finds another solution for the dress issue… His friend Gyan… When Gyan comes to Singh’s house to deliver the bridal dress; Siddhi plays a prank on Gyan and their love-hate chemistry develops from there onwards… The marriage starts… The baraat comes… Jiya’s presence and cozy behavior with her boyfriend Rajeev raises eyebrows of many guests… Raged by this Mrs Thakral questions Jiya; and argument happens which Tauji overhears…

Episode 3 Synopsis, Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11 pm

Tauji seeking a resolution talks to Mrs Thakral about Jiya and Rajeev but she avoids the topic… Tauji feels tension and rift between Thakrals… Jiya wants to leave the wedding but Akshay makes her stay… Gyan and Siddhi come closer through pranks played on by each other… Tauji is disturbed hearing cold conversations between Vishal, Tarana, Prem and Shalini members… Suddenly like an iceberg Rio’s girlfriend enters the marriage… Tauji senses something wrong… Later Rio and Mrs Thakral end up fighting with each other and opening all the cards about their family… Tauji overhearing everything gets a shock… he decides to stop the marriage and goes to Mandap and to everyone else’s surprise asks the pandit to stop the mantras….

Episode 4 Synopsis, Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 11 pm

Tauji is unable to tell the fact in front of Prarthana… The whole Singh family gathers inside to talk about the issue that whether Prarthana’s wedding should be stalled or not… Outside everyone is unaware of this development is wondering what is happening… Inside Siddhi is trying to convince an ardent Tauji to let the wedding happen… Finally Tauji allows the wedding under the pressure and logic of other Singh family members especially Siddhi… Siddhi and Gyan’s chemistry also reaches its peak… The marriage concludes and Prarthana’s vidaii happens… Gyan expresses his feeling in form of a ring and gives it to Siddhi… Siddhi is confused… As Prarthana is about to enter the Thakral house that Mrs Thakral refuses to do her Grih pravesh for her own reasons and tiff with Rio…
