Yes, we are talking about Chak De India, which is directed by Shimit Amin. Shimit Amin has previously worked in the RGV camp and also directed Ab Tak Chappan. The story revolves around a hockey coach for a girl’s team and a young Sikh girl who wants to join the hockey team but does not get the approval of her parents. This time Shah Rukh won’t be playing the happy-go-lucky guy, instead he is a little sad in life.

He works hard to achieve his aim that is to see the Indian tri-coloured flag hoisted with all the other countries’ flags. He makes the girls undergo a rigorous exercise regime. Later on the team faces a lot of struggle when they go to Australia to play for the women’s world cup. Chak De India is all about playing for your dignity and respect.

Shah Rukh Khan will sport a beard in the film as his character in the film is that of a Muslim. The film, produced by Yash Chopra, will have the duo, Salim and Sulaiman composing the music. The music of the film is said to in sync with the film. Editing will be handled by Amin himself who previously worked as an editor before venturing into direction. Cinematography is handled by Vishal Sinha who previously worked with Amin in Ab Tak Chappan. Jaideep Sahni writes the film

To promote the film, Aditya Chopra, the producer of the film shot a few behind the scenes segments to be used as teasers during film promotions.
The trivia is that Neetu Chandra auditioned and got the part of the leading lady of the film. She was later replaced due to unknown reasons.

The entire film has been shot at several locations in Australia including Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Yash Raj Films had previously shot Salaam Namaste in Australia.
