Walking through the past of Hunterwali

The film Hunterwali (1935) was about a brave girl who sacrifices her royal luxuries to the cause of her people and her country and becomes the protector of the poor and punisher of evildoers.

The film was famous for Nadia’s real life stunts like jumping over a moving cart and fighting 20 soldiers at once.

Born Mary Evans in Perth, Australia, Nadia had accompanied her family to India as a child and began working in the circus in the early 1930s, where she became popular as Fearless Nadia thanks to her dare devil stunts.
