Box Office India Report
The week gone by saw a good show at the box office by the latest releases. Fool and Final slipped down in collections in the weekdays after a good weekend whereas Shootout At Lokhandwala is doing well at all the major circuits. Big B’s Cheeni Kum is also doing steady business at selected multiplexes. Meanwhile, Metro and Ta Ra Rum Pum continue their above average performance at the BO.
This week at the box office:
• Fool n Final: The new Ahmed Khan release saw a good opening at the weekend though the collections dropped from Monday. The collections are expected to rise in the few weeks’ time. In its opening week, Fool N Final collected Rs. 3, 85,888 avg. /print with good reports from Gujarat, Punjab and UP.
• Shootout At Lokhandwala: The White Feathers films’ production has got one of the biggest openings in the first two weeks of its release. The film has been declared a hit at most places and an above average at other places. The film has earned Rs. 2, 55,719 avg. /print in the past week.
• Cheeni Kum: The sugar-free romance is proving to be an above average grosser at the multiplexes. The film is a hit in Mumbai and average to a below-average at other places. In the past week, the film earned Rs. 2, 39,581 avg. /print.
• Life In A …Metro: Shilpa Shetty starrer has been doing average business at most places with above average collections at some places. In its fourth week, the film has earned Rs. 85,504 avg. /print.
• Ta Ra Rum Pum: The Yash Raj Film has been declared a semi-hit with above to above average collections at most places. In the past week, the film earned Rs. 60,138 avg. / print.
• Bheja Fry: Sunil Doshi’s medium budget film has been the real surprise this season with good collections even this week. The film has been declared a hit and has earned Rs. 51,121 avg. /print in the last week.
