Tony reports live from the green carpet at IIFA

IIFA had decided to roll out a ‘Green Carpet’ this year, deviating from the tradition of a ‘Red Carpet’ welcome to celebrities, as it has taken up environmental issues in a bid to save the planet.

Abhishek Bachchan arrived with his new wife Aishwarya Rai, and both of them looked every inch the perfect couple. Aishwarya was dressed in a pink lehnga with a low cut blouse, while Abhishek was dashing in a black three piece suite.

Bipasha Basu came dressed as sexy as sexy can be, with a red dress that just about covered her most prized assets. The girl’s naval display has to be the highlight of the green carpet so far.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif came separately, which was a bit of a shock. Katrina looked elegant in a grey costume which was sleek and smart. Salman arrived with an unknown girl with whom he was flirting like mad. What is going on here?

The princess of Pataudi Soha Ali Khan came dressed in white and looked like an angel from heaven. This girl seems to have the world beckoning for her, we wish her well.

The true shock of the green carpet was the dress that new girl Kangana Ranaut wore; an open dress from the front, which hardly left anything to the imagination, making Kangana a delight for the sore eyes present.

Shilpa Shetty also tried to expose a little by wearing an eloquent piece of green cloth in which her breasts perfectly dropped into.

Preity Zinta showed all those that were not yet made aware, that she is indeed in a love relationship, by coming with Loch Ness monster… Oops! I meant Ness Wadia.

Hrithik Roshan showed the western media that India too can provide a more than suitable candidate for James Bond, his style and dress sense is way up there with the best in the business… if not beyond.

Amitabh Bachchan was his usual stylish self, dressed in black… was ‘Black’ not so last year though? But his little grand daughter made up for the white… wasn’t she so sweet.

Bobby Deol looked more like Boman Irani, while Boman looked more like Bobby; seems as though those two have had a transplant of some sorts.

Anil Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna arrived and looked like a right pair of _ _ _ _ _. What is going on with these two?

Arbaaz Khan was with his wife, Govinda was all alone, Feroz Khan was still bald, Akshay Kumar was grey (boy he has gone old), and Saif Ali Khan was with without a girl… no Amrita and no Rosa. But hey, his sister was there, so he had a shoulder to cry on.
