• Cheeni Kum: As was expected with a Tabu starrere after the mega success of ‘The Namesake’, Cheeni Kum got a good oepning with the film showing at 51 screens across US and debuted at Position No. 22. The film has collected $ 346,245 [approx. Rs. 1.40 crores] in its opening weekend.
• The Namesake (English): The film continues its mammoth run at the box office with its screening at 165 screens across US. In its twelfth weekend, the film has collected $ 293,600 though slipping from last weekend’s Position No. 20 to this week’s No. 23. The net gross for the film in US is $ 12,970,996 [approx. Rs. 52.47 crores].
• Shootout At Lokhandwala: The new release got a fair opening at the US box office as it debuted at Position No. 31 and collected $ 158,227 [approx. Rs. 64 lacs] in its opening weekend. The film is showing at 34 screens across US.
• Ta Ra Rum Pum: The film has slipped from last week’s Position No. 54 to this week’s No. 60. In its fifth weekend, the film is currently showing at 10 screens and earned $ 21,935 this week. The net gross for the film is $ 872,643 [approx. Rs. 3.53 crores].
• Metro: Even in US, the Shilpa Shetty starrer has been a no-show with the film slipping down further from last week’s Position No. 56 to this week’s No. 69. In its third weekend, the film has collected $ 12,031 and is currently showing on 20 screens. The net gross for the film in US is $ 144,169 [approx. Rs. 58.44 lacs].
