Another ‘Antakshari’ host bites the dust!

ZEE TV’s ‘Antakshari’ is changing host for the second time! After the sudden departure of comedian Sunil Pal, the current host Karan Oberoi was roped in to front the children’s special series on air at present.

In an interview with online portal SantaBanta, Oberoi said that the channel was neglecting the show and had edited out some lighthearted sing and dance scenes featuring the singer.

“Yes, I have decided to quit the show because I have felt that ‘Antakshari’ is being neglected. I have shot for 5-6 hours for every episode as a host, but when I saw the episode it was shocking for me.

They had removed my dancing and singing scenes. It is a musical show, how can anyone do this. I have talked to the editor about it, but there was no result from the conversation. They said that it is a 20-25 minute show and that’s why we had to remove those scenes.

I have also tried a lot to talk to the creative head Payal Patel, but she always ignores me saying “I am very much busy with ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, so talk to me later.” I have become fed up because of this attitude. The TRP of this show is high because the whole team is working hard for its popularity. We have given our 100% to this show.

This is a fact that I have never worked only for money. Money is not a motivation for me. ZEE TV is ignoring my talent and labour.”

It is not yet known as to who will replace Karan and join Himani Kapoor as new host.
