Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan’s Next Comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’

Music biggie ‘T-Series’, which is behind almost every music release of the film churned out on Bollywood front and private albums in India and has also been producing movies from the outset, has roped in super star Akshay Kumar to enact the leading role in its new enterprise titled ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, the head honchos of T-Series, have earlier worked with Akshay Kumar in last year’s romantic outing, ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’.

‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ is an interestingly attention-grabbing comic thriller and a remake of the Malayalam super hit, ‘Manichithra Thazhu’ (which was released in the year 1993). The comedy king Priyadarshan has been hired to wear the director’s cap. The flick stars the bigger names of the industry from Akshay Kumar, Amisha Patel, Shiney Ahuja, Vidya Balan, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vineet, Asrani, Vikram Gokhale to Manoj Joshi. Except a few, the rest of the star cast is from Priyadarshan’s camp.

The backdrop of this offering of T-Series talks about a small village where the people are very conservative and superstitious. And how the comedy is taken out from them is a class and trademark style of Priyadarshan, who is master in the art of churning out comic capers.

Packaged with an out and out humour and thrill, the flick depicts many dimensions of human psychology as well. Neeraj Vora, who has written and directed the last year’s blockbuster comedy ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ with the team of Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Rajap Yadav, has penned the screenplay and dialogue of this venture of Priyadarshan. S. Theeru dolls up the cinematography whereas the coveted musician Pritam arranges the composition for the film album.

The 41 days shooting schedule has just begun in Jaipur on 18th of February.
