Salaam-e-Ishq chops off a key song

The length of the just released Nikhil Advani film has been the main concern for the film-maker as he had to chop off a major chunk of 15-20 minutes from the film as the duration was considered too long for the audience. The film which has the song placement complementary to the narration of the story, a key song has been omitted from the film due to the already lengthy duration.

The song “Mera Dil… Dil Mera” from the composer trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has been cut off from the film to reduce the duration. The song like other songs in the film is an important part of the narrative and takes the story forward. The omission comes as a surprise as the song doing well on the music charts. The song has been sung by Shaan and Nihira.

The film which already a lengthy one of 3 hours and 30 minutes duration had to have an omission somewhere.
