B.O. Update: Guru going strong, Risk sinks

The two films that tried their luck at the box office this month had varying results after their release. The two films in contention are Risk and Mani Ratnam’s Guru. One sunk without any trace as its collections continue to tumble down and the other’s success is soaring high.

Guru has been labelled as a flawless film with brilliant performances and has grossed impressive collections in its second week itself at the box office. The Abhishek-Aishwarya starrer is the numero uno film this week as well.

On the other hand, veteran actor Vinod Khanna’s comeback film Risk starring Randeep Hooda and Tanushree Dutta got a poor response from the audience. The film didn’t even manage a 20% turnout in the initial stages of its release and its collections are dipping low day-by-day. The film’s failure is being blamed on the lacklustre script.
