ZEE UK launches optional subtitles service
In a first for a British Asian TV channel, ZEE TV has today launched its optional subtitles service.
The new facility will allow viewers decide whether it would like subtitles on shows. Previously ZEE TV (and currently other Asian TV channels) incorporated English subtitles to its shows from India.
In addition to English subtitles, ZEE TV is also giving its viewers access to French subtitles, for the first time.
To use the facility, viewers will need to press “888″ for English subtitles and “889″ for French subtitles on ZEE’s analogue teletext. To make use of the subtitles on Sky Digital, viewers can press the “Help” button and then select “On”, which will turn on the subtitles.
Subtitles are available on all primetime shows and selected shows during the day on ZEE TV.

Hi, urgently I need a reply. Upto recently we were getting subtitles on Zee TV with our dramas. Since two weeks, we have had none. We have satelite t.v. and we pay a yearly subscription.
The teletext function on page 888 doesn’t work. Will you let me know what is happening and make subtitles available again as it was before,as I can no longer enjoy my programmes.
Thank you
JB
