After speculations about their impending marriage doing the rounds for over a year now, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan finally got engaged this Sunday. The news has been confirmed by the would-be-groom’s father, Amitabh Bachchan himself.
After rumour mills churning out one story after another, Aishwarya and Abhishek have inched closer to their wedding day after officially getting engaged at Ash’s residence in Mumbai. Big B was caught saying that Ash and Abhi will be tying the knot sooner this year.
Earlier, there has been a lot of noise about their prospects of marriage last year. There had been reports that the celeb couple got married at a Madurai Temple where they had exchanged garlands and then the highly covered Varanasi visit by the entire Bachchan clan with Ash in tow.
