Review 2006: RS Top 20 Bollywood Movies
The year 2006 by all means has proven to be the most productive and successful year for Bollywood. Big budget movies doing big business at the box office.
The year had the maximum no. of hits, super hits and blockbuster hits than other years. Vidhu Chopra’s Lage Raho.. presented Gandhian ideology in a completely novel package of “Gandhigiri” and won millions of hearts all around the world. Then, the charismatic and classy Hrithik gave us our first super-hero and Mr. A gave the biggest opener to the Yash Raj Banner.
The year had a notable no. of hit comedy movies with good box office collections for Phir Hera Pheri, Golmaal, Malamaal Weekly, Chup Chup Ke, Taxi No. 9211 and Apna Sapna Money Money. Then a treat from every Khan in the form of Blockbuster and super-hits like Fanaa, Rang De Basanti, Don, KANK. The year brought international acclaim for many of the Bollywood biggies and was a year that took Indian cinema to higher levels of Post-production excellence and amazingly novel and impressive ideas.
So, let’s take a look at the year coming to an end and its mega Bollywood hits. Here’s the countdown to the top ones in 2006:

Dhoom 2 earned 83crs in the US. Isn’t that like almost $20 million!?! Last time i checked on boxofficemojo.com, which is yesterday, the movie made around 2.5million, thats like almost 11.5 crores (exchage rate of 45rupees to $1).
Please revise you numbers.
