The sequel to the successful Hera Pheri is the one of the biggest hits of the year. The comic trio of Akshay, Suniel and Paresh were magical on screen and when they come together fun and paisa-vasool entertainment is guaranteed. The film became a super hit with theatre showings crossing the elusive 10-week mark. The common-man factor and something-for-everybody worked again with this sequel. The film did well at all circuits including metros and small towns as well. It earned a net gross of Rs. 40.29 Crores this year.

Synopsis: Continuing from where the prequel left, Raju who’s always quick to spot ways of making easy money scouts out for an option to get it doubled. He ably ropes in a couple of investors, to come up with the number required for investment. But the money doesn’t get doubled. The search for the culprit provides a rib-tickling, non-stop laughter riot. Add to this the comic presence & performances of Johnny Lever & Rajpal Yadav, who is one of the investors. And the poor man has borrowed money from a Don. Bipasha Basu & Rimi Sen are the female leads in the film.

The movie is a complete entertainer from the beginning till the end. It provides an insight into the common man’s quest for money and how the greed leads him from one trouble to the other. The three main leads live up to their characters in the film. The film scores on a better star cast and music is notches higher than the prequel. The only drawback is the lack of a real good script. The film at a point lacks direction and there’s plain chaos on-screen. The prequel is better than this one as it had a far better storyline. Anyways, I enjoyed it.
