Anwar’s producer lashes out his director
The producer of this Friday’s yet-to-be-released Anwar has lashed out at his director Manish Jha for mindlessly wasting money at the shoot of a scene. Producer Rajesh Singh was enraged over Jha’s ambitious and careless financial handlings.
Reportedly, Manish Jha wanted 350 real Sadhus for a shoot at a temple near Wai and wasn’t ready to shoot the scene with junior artists. He was arranged these 350 Sadhus from Mumbai, Nasik and nearby places. The shoot had to be of 3-4 days but because of Manish’s postponing of the schedule, the Sadhus got a stay of 12 days, which aggravated to further waste of monetary funds from the producer.
Meanwhile, producer commenting on the incident said, “Yes, we did have a scene where I arranged for sadhus from Nashik and Bombay. I remember that we barely shot for 2-3 days with them, and it is true that they stayed with us for 10-12 days at Wai near Mahabaleshwar. I don’t want to comment Manish, and I don’t want to get into any controversies,” he says.
