Bhardwaj’s Blue Umbrella to be released globally
Vishal Bhardwaj is back to the Children film genre after his critically acclaimed Omkara. Vishal’s next is film based on the story of a child and her Friend Blue Umbrella. The movie has caught the interest of an international studio which willing to distribute the movie all across the European continent and releasing it world-wide.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s movie has a fascinating storyline that attracted the international studio and will release it globally. Siddhartha Roy Kapur of UTV confirms, “We are in talks with the international distributors. That’s precisely the reason why we have decided to postpone the release of the film in India. If the tie-up happens, THE BLUE UMBRELLA will have a simultaneous global release.”
The movie was earlier slated for a 5th January ‘07 release but may now release in April/May of 2007 in the global market, thereby extending its reach further and giving more scope to marketing the film before its release.
