Cinema has always been at the forefront of highlighting social issues which have a direct impact on the system or the common man. The recent suicide cases and deteriorating conditions of the farmers in the southern part of India have caused a lot of disturbance among the masses. The issue will now be taken up in the form of a movie. And who better than Aamir to act in such a socially and emotionally moving film.

The actor has been known for his involvement in many of such sensitive issues. He was even involved in the controversial Sardar Sarover Project which got him infamous in the state of Gujarat because of political motives of the various political parties in the state. Now, he’s decided to take up the plight of the suffering farmers in the states of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

The concept of the project was conceived by former journalist Anusha Rizvi. Aamir Khan will be producing the movie for him. The story of this touching tale will revolve around the experiences of a journalist who covers the tragic conditions of the farmers in the southern state.
