Punjabi ‘Jingle Bell’ to be sung by Akshay

Akshay Kumar has found a taker in Bollywood for his vocal assets. Director Vipul Shah has asked Akshay to sing for his next release Namaste London. Akshay stars opposite Katrina Kaif in the flick. The twist in the tale is that Akshay will sing the Punjabi version of the Christmas song “Jingle Bells” in the movie.

Akshay, who has earlier sung ‘Gurbani’ in a Punjabi devotional album, was really excited about singing the Christmas song for his movie. Reportedly, he got up as early as five in the morning to shoot for the song. The movie has a lot of animation and special effects which will debut on the small screens during Christmas time.

Akshay plays a Punjabi guy in the movie who tries to woo Katrina Kaif, who is born and brought up in England. The movie had earlier grabbed media attention because of Katrina’s ’skirt controversy’.
