Shah Rukh replaces Amitabh for KBC 3

The seat vacated by the Bollywood’s Shahenshah is to be occupied by the Baadshah of Bollywood. Shahrukh is set to fill in the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan for the third season of Star’s popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

For Shah Rukh, the opportunity came as a pleasant surprise. SRK Said, “I was pleasantly surprised when STAR offered me the show. I was a participant in season one of KBC and little did I know one day I would be hosting it.” For him it was more of an honour to take the place of the biggest superstar of Indian cinema. SRK continued to say, “It is a huge act to follow, that of Mr Bachchan but it also excites me that I am getting an opportunity to reach out, talk and interact with my audience through a medium where I began my career as an actor years ago.”

The game show makers’ had this huge surprise in store for the audience and especially for the fans of King Khan. Another battle or probably a comparison is in store, after SRK starred in the remake of Big B’s Don recently. This will certainly boost the TRP’s of the channel by several notches. The second stint of KBC was short-lived because of Big B’s illness. KBC 3 is expected to hit the small screens by March next year.
