Rahul Bose to set up an NGO

With people like Rahul Bose, Bollywood can boast of the many social issues taken up by the film personalities in India. Actor and film maker Rahul Bose is reputed for raising voice for issues of social concern and working for many social causes. This time the actor is setting up an NGO which will in every little way contribute in helping the socially, financially, economically deprived and people lacking the resources in far-flung areas.

Small projects have been undertaken by the NGO, at its initial stage. Initially, the NGO plans to provide scholarship to 6 students from the Andaman and Nicobar islands. The students will get them from Rishi Valley school in Bangalore.

“On the broadest level, it bridges the haves and the have-nots. The children will get a chance to study at Rishi Valley and we’ll get to see them in mainstream India, whether in Citibank or say CNN-IBN,” Rahul says

The NGO has bigger plans for the future and wishes to work for communal harmony as well.
