Exclusive: Aishwarya Rai gives birth to twins

The great writer-lyricist-playwriter is at his best even when he writes some of the most whacky songs for Bollywood. So, did you think Gulzar Saab is just for the serious kind? Legendary lyricist Gulzar is set to pen down another funny song, which may again become a rage among the youngsters. After striking a chord with the younger generation with Kajra Re, Gulzar will be writing another fun song for the Abhishek-Ash starrer Guru. The song is composed by A.R. Rehman and sung by none other than Bappi Lahiri.

Gulzar says that, “For me, it’s time to freak out.” The song Ek Lo Ek Muft… has a catchy phrase in it which tells you as to why it is a fun song. In the movie, Ash who plays Abhishek’s wife gives birth to twins in Mani Ratnam’s next Guru. “Hence the lines Ek Lo Ek Muft… i.e. Buy one get one free,” chuckled Gulzar.

On his hit surprise Beedi in Omkara, Gulzar says, “A lot of people are shocked by my beedi song in Omkara. They can’t believe I can write something so aggressive. But what’s there to be shocked about? It’s the situation that demands a song, and not the other way around.” You bet!
