Himesh rips off husband of Sridevi

Himesh Reshammiya may be flying high with success after success, but it all could come tumbling down, courtesy of film producer Boney Kapoor.

Boney Kapoor, brother to Anil Kapoor and husband of veteran actress Sridevi, has told music company Tips that one of Himesh’s currently promoted songs is a rip off!

Yes a blatant rip-off!!! Would you expect that from the man who sings from his nasal and only has one tone to his vocals? Apparently, the song Tanhaiyan was recorded for Boney’s yet to be produced film Milenge Milenge. The film stars Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapur and golden boy Salman Khan.

“That song is my property. The minute I heard about it being used in ‘Aap Ka Saroor’, I called Himesh. But he told me he was in London and would meet me once he got back on November 8” says Boney.

Kumar Taurani of Tips Industries admits he is aware of the problem. “Boney has claimed that he has the audio rights for the film. I’m still wondering how Himesh could give the song to us, knowing that Boney has the rights over it. We are meeting up with Boney to find out what kind of violation has happened. Accordingly, we will take some action.”

What do you make of this threat to the ‘career’ of Himesh? Is this the big tumble that was awataing this sensation, or will it have no effect on him and his career?
