Indian Big Brother kicks off tonight

The countdown is on for what is turning out to be India’s biggest reality TV show, the Indian version of the worldwide hit ‘Big Brother’.

‘Bigg Boss’ as the Indian adaptation will be known as will be shown on Sony Entertainment Television Asia.

The programme will be presented by Bollywood star Arshad Warsi.

The 13 celebrities will enter the ‘Bigg Boss’ house tonight for the first time. The channel has not disclosed the names of all the contestants except that of Rakhi Sawant, Ravi Kishen, Carol Gracious and Poonam Dhillon (who was supposed to sign the contract on Wednesday).

Update at 14:45: In an unprecedented and landmark move, Sony TV are expected to ask each of the 13 contestants to undertake a HIV test as a major precaution because there are chances they will have sex on the show!
