Film being made on the Indian national anthem

The biggest controversy surrounding India now is the National Song Vande Mataram.

And Kalyan Chakravarthy a filmmaker from Andhra Pradesh is now making films in ten languages on the subject explaining how important Vande Mataram is.

Kalyan says that the song has had 100 different styles of singing with south legend Balamurli Krishna singing it in the 100th style.

Rabidranath Tagore gave this 130 year old song its first version in 1906, 100 years ago. And Kalyan’s film will trace the root and evolution of the song.
