Amitabh wins National Award for Black

The buzz on the national award winners for films in India is thus.

Amitabh Bachchan has won the best actor for Black. Sarika – Kamal Haasan’s ex-wife has won the best actress award for the film Parzania. Rani Mukerji and Konkana Sen Sharma lost out for their performances in Black and 15 Park Avenue respectively Sanjay Leela Bhansali has won the award for Black for the best Hindi film. The Best English filma ward went to Aparna Sen’s film 15 Park Avenue, Anupam Kher won the special jury award for his role in Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Maara Naseeruddin Shah won the best supporting actor for his role in Iqbal. The best director award has gone to Rahul Dholakia for Parzania based on the Gujarat riots. The best film award has gone to Buddhadeb Dasgupta for Kaalpurush.
